As an avid Wardriver, I'm always on the lookout for odd places where I can pull out my laptop and find an unsecured WiFi network through which I can pop onto Second Life for a few moments, to pass the time. Up until today, I had managed no stranger a place that Ruby's restaurant, but now I find myself online, and waiting for bingo while.... ...watching my laundry dry in the Lake Elsinore laundromat.

From: Zuzi Martinez in the tub. yes i am addicted. Are you serious? In the tub? Considering how dangerous that is though, it sounds pretty relaxing having a bubble bath while being online .... Wouldnt try that though, even if I had a tub I'm paranoid (or is it cautious) that way

Ummm... I remember one time where I took the laptop, and was doing the SL thing as I did my business in the bathroom.
It wasn't for long, and nobody in SL could hear the gross noises that I was making. But I sure did feel a whole lot better afterwards.

Well, I have put my laptop on a stool beside the tub to keep an eye on a raffle... but my hands were off the keyboard the whole time!
However....
I have, however, taken a potty break during bingo and taken my laptop with me so I didn't miss any numbers. (TMI?)

A ship on the North Atlantic, near Nova Scotia, using a satellite dialup connection on my laptop. lag lag lag.
Terminal 6 at JFK (jetBlue's terminal) which has free WiFi. It was 5am, and I got some pretty weird looks from those around me.
I take my laptop with WiFi into the backyard sometimes, to sit out by the pool and log on...probably not as weird as the first two.

My sense of fairplay.... Most unusual that I thought that was acceptable , as a former manager of 1) a nightclub - boring, but I took a lot of abuse 2) Condos - boring, but I took a lot of abuse 3) A Mall - Boring, but more abuse 4) More Condos - I don't learn fast enough about abuse 5) Casino/club Owner - I unfortunately had a bad day, and thin skinned peeps took it the wrong way, OH WELL! Fuck it, and other minor things. Done here, anyone want my 400,000 some Lindens?

From: someone Are you serious? In the tub? Considering how dangerous that is though, it sounds pretty relaxing having a bubble bath while being online .... haha i had my laptop on a tub tray and i kept my hands dry. it was running on batteries and i'm not an electrician but i think it would be more dangerous to the laptop than to me if it fell in. not that i would want to test it hehe. Cashmere i got no idea what you're talking about but sure, lay some free L$ on me.

Oh, you said access SL! Heheh... not necessarily 'access SL' but I frequently access the forums on a train with my palmtop.

For me it's boring.
On my lap top, while sitting behind my computer while my friend used my PC.
Oh wait, and my bedroom on the wireless network. AHHA

Top of a 12,000 foot mountain in eastern Nevada -- my notebook computer through my cellphone onto the Sprint internet service. 150k, managed to log on, couldn't do much, but did have a couple of wonderful chats with people before the connection finally broke. ("Guess what I'm doing? Looking past the screen, between my feet, 4000 feet down the slope, to the high meadow -- and there's cows down there...."
