I've seen a bunch of references to a "dwell system", apparently because it might be in SL's future. Could someone please tell me what a dwell system is, and what this means for SL?

The dwell system is a system that rewards land owners for time other people spend on their land. You throw a party and you will get rewarded for the time people stay on your property.
It is a highly probably potential replacement of the voting booths we now have. |

Don't forget my (very long) post about a replacement for the proposed dwell system (since so many people are seeing potential abuses of it) and the rating/voting systems:
