I was cleaning up my disk and found the attached image circa February 2004. It is a rendered image of the world's terrain then. I think Ezhar provided the terrain levels and Cadroe did the rendering, but my legs are grey, my ears are gnarled. my eyes are old and bent.
Edited: because I forgot what year this is.

The world was teensy then There are more private islands now than there were total sims in Malachi's picture. I need to update the Cartifex web site. Phase 2 of mapping is postponed until it can be more fully automated, i.e. indefintely. Or the Lindens could just publish height maps of the sims

We use to be able to walk through every sim in less than 10 hours! Back in the daze!

Just recently I walked from Fuchsia to the SE corner of the mainland. (I forget that sim's name and can't look at a map right now). It took nearly an hour and a half just to make that trip never mind walking to every sim.

Wow, it's a little island compared to today! Kinda reminds me of old maps where the undiscoverd parts were missing From: Malachi Petunia I was cleaning up my disk and found the attached image circa February 2004. Edited: because I forgot what year this is. Hmm... I think this image might pre-date February 2004. I'm pretty sure that the first southern sims, including Abbotts, were added in January 2004. I could be wrong, tho.
