How many "squares" are there in an acre and 1/4 acre.
How many prims will be allotted in an acre? 1/4 acre?
I saw the other post but I want to see it in the units that are being set by the Lindens so we have some clarity and understanding of what exactly we are talking about.
thanks.

It's all here. 1 acre = 1/16 region = 4096m^2 = 64x64m parcel = 625 prims 1/4 acre = 1/64 region = 1024m^2 = 32x32m parcel = 156.25 prims
This assumes a region size of 65535m^2 (256x256) and 10'000 prims per sim. The prim limit might even go up in the future.

Thanks.
So then divide the land meters by 4? 1 sq is 4x4meters, right?
I know I should know this but I'm another that hates math.

Yes, one square is 4m on a side. An acre is 256 of these squares. That could be a parcel that is 16 squares along each side.

is there a direct ratio of land to prims? # meters land == # max prims?

In summary:
How many "squares" are there in an acre:
256
and 1/4 acre:
64
How many prims will be allotted in an acre:
625
1/4 acre:
156.25
1 Square (4x4 m):
2.44140625
As I understand it, these are hard limits. If you want more prims, you need to purchase more land to support them. If you wanted to build a 625 prim build on one square you'd need to own the acre that that square is in... except in the case where Lindens alter the allotment.
(please correct me if I'm wrong. I still hate math, lol)

One square of land (4m by 4m) entitles you to a minimum of 2.44 prims. If you're in a sim with a lot of Linden-owned empty land, the minimum could be much higher.

I desperately hope that the prim/land ratio goes up.
625 prims per acre really isn't that much.
Even a factor of 2 increase would seem satisfactory----over 1k prims is starting to get reasonable.
An acre is a pretty big space------My roomates and I live on a 1024 sq. m. plot, and it feels really big.
I doubt that we have fewer than 125 prims on our plot, though---I'm almost certain we are in the 200 range, and we are only about 1/2 decorated.
