I'm not sure if this should go here or in feature requests, so I'm taking a chance and posting it here. I assume it will be moved if this isnt the appropriate spot for it.
I was poking though the posts in the Design and Textures forum, and I noticed that there is a LOT of great information there. I also noticed that there are many questions that get asked repeatedly. That got me started on thinking about a Tips and Tutorials forum- a place where, if you have figured out a great method for achieving X result, or have tips and tricks to share, you can post your methods. I know that these "here's how i do it" threads exist in other forums, the purpose of a Tutorials forum would be simply to gather that information into one place.
Good idea, bad idea, unnecesary idea? Would love to hear thoughts on this.
Thanks! Nephi

Great idea, though if the Linden-Wiki comes online, that might be the better place for "sticky" thinkgs like that. Easier to find, if they link the Wiki well to the webpages. (Or to the game itself...)

A Linden-Wiki would be fabulous! I didnt know that was in the works, I agree completely that that is a better option. Any solution that gets the instructional information in one location would be excellent.

I have been adding tutorials to the SLUniverse Knowledge Base as well. I agree that a centralized forum is a good idea. There is excellent content spread all across the various forums we have now that would be a shame to lose.

Definitely a great idea!
I know Lee Linden is hard at work on the new Wiki-style knowledge base. It would be great if user guides could be incorporated into that, maybe with some kind of standard template for writing style / layout.
Regards,
-Flip

We have much information in today's world. Another challenge is, of course, making that information conviently accessible and efficiently organized. I like what I'm hearin' here.

From: someone Flip writes: It would be great if user guides could be incorporated into that, maybe with some kind of standard template for writing style / layout. I LOVE that idea!! It would definitely need to have an option to post a pic or link for each step in the template though. I hope that made sense. Its taken me five minutes to figure out how to put that

A super idea. We definitely need something of this type, whether it be on the forums or in the wiki.
