Im making Multi-destionational Teleporters andd i would like some one who owns a Big mall or possible a Public access private sim that is interested to do a run of the first one. for the means of an example, ie "this could be your mall", to all others that see and use it. for the first one there will be a charge for the teleporters, not really the teleporters them selves but the scripting, which will be at a cut rate, but not right away. It will act as my advertising base. Price will be based on lindens per hour, just like hiring a scripter. so if any one is interested IM me in world for demostration and questions!!!!!

A teleportation system isn't that hard to do, really..
Give me enough time, and I can come up with a similar system for half the cost of whatever he's charging.  LF _____________________

well i did not know where to put this thread so i parked it here, and if u can beat my prices u will be doing it for almost free because im really cheap, im not out to make a fourtune just out to make SL a better place. i dont even spend money exept for texture and sound uploads

If anyone wants one that badly, I'll give you the one I made months back in Aleph. I think it still works. Its kludgy to add new destinations to, since I made it for my own use and not distribution, but it worked.

You can get a free basic teleporter (fully open sourced script) (not even L$1, it's L$0!!!) at the University of SL Library, 5th floor of MegaTower ^1 in the BonnyDoon region. Lots of other free stuff as well

I know Rickard and Cua both have teleportation systems in their sims. Clovers even before the rebuild had a multidimesional Teleporter. Might want to talk to them before reinventing the wheel.

If I am reading correctly, such a system already exists. You can see it in use at Playfair Plaza (or any destination in Yawgoo). All destinations in the sim are linked via a multiple destination teleporter system.

I haven't put the free teleporter back since now there are so many around. I do have a multi-destination version too... but I only ever used one, lol... so it was never tidied up and sold (read: given away - I based the script on someone elses work and just modified it... so it would have been unfair to sell it) _____________________

You can get a free teleport chamber in the Flight Shop -- level 2 of Abbotts Aerodrome.

Now just to set myself up, what I'd love is a user-scripted inter-sim teleport, not the hack based on llSitTarget. If that's what's under discussion, heck, I'd pay a couple L$ to learn that trick... (bracing himself for edification...  ) |

(bracing himself for edification... )The one I'm referring to you right-click, choose teleport and are presented with a menu of destination choices. You then click on the destination you want and voila... you are teleported there. The available destinations are configured via a notecard. The actual coordinates are whispered to you when you rez the item the first time. I think it is a very slick system. I am at work right now, and caanot recaal the creators last name (Briggy ???). It can be seen in Yawgoo and purchased for that matter, she has a vendor booth set up there with the teleporter for sale. Patrick Playfair |
