Does anyone else have Secondlife IMs forwarded to a cell phone? I've been doing it for a while now. Get voting booth notifications and offline IMs sent to my phone as a text message.

Hehe Only problem is when I receive the message I'm usually at work or out and about ... can't respond to the message. :)

You cant respond to emails that are forwarded IMs anyway. You have to stop what you are doing and log in. ;)

Thats what I meant :) I'm usually at work or out and about. .. not near a machine to login. Sorry , should have explained that line better.

Using a free service or the one with your phone? I like that idea a lot :)

Wish we could ping people back tho!

Doesn't your phone service charge for all those messages to your phone?

maybe you should see the thread on SL addictions. LOL

LOL .. na , incoming text messages are free. It's just the outbound messages which cost money. If I get an interesting message I have to pay $0.10 to respond or wait until I'm near a computer .. guess it's more of a notification system. I received some messages this morning that a person had given , and a few minutes later revoked , building privs to me .. by accident I assume.

Also when I get offered something while I'm not in world the message my phone gets is something like "<personwhoeverissending> has sent you something special" or similiar .. hehe makes me curious all day long. Allows me to build the hype up until I finally figure out what it really is.

As a feature suggestion: I know this will all be available in 1.2, but why not have responding to emails IM the person back??
