Karol Wojtyla was an extraordinary man, who lived a rich and varied life.
I cannot think of anyone who would be a better leader, and have personally admired him even though I don't follow his religion. He visits Portugal a lot because of the Fatima "miracle" and sanctuary - I saw him in person once, cruising through the streets of Lisbon on his popemobile. Everyone loves him. People hang his picture on their wall as if he were the Christ himself. The next pope will have one heck of a lot of trouble filling in his shoes. _____________________

Even if you didn't personally follow catholicism, you had to admire the man who ran the church and the great things he's done in his lifetime. We'll miss you PJ2. _____________________

What ever you thought of his views, you can see the effect he had on people. You could feel he really cared for us. I'll never forget the atmosphere when he visited my city in 1982. It's a sad day.

Yeah, they yanked it as soon as they realized it was there. True, a little different then reporting the Pope is dead when he's not.
But it seems like both Fox and CNN fell for the "Italian source" since both reported it prematurely. So it kind of equals out -- a hard-line liberal and hard-line conservative network both reported it early. Does anyone else think it's odd that FOX news is considered conservative when the FOX network plays some of the most liberal programming on television? _____________________
