I am having a problem running secondlife on 2 pc's at the same time....i have a router and me and my bf have been trying to play together but we can't beon at the same time......i am not sure why i am getting the unable to log in to the game popup since i am obviously connected......could it be that we paid for both accounts with the same credit card?

How old is the routers firmware?

You may want to head over the the support page for your make and model of router to see if there is an update for the firmware. Sometimes this simple fix can resolve a multitude of issues when two or more pc's are wired on a local area network.

My husband and I also use a router and have our accounts on the same credit card, but we have no problems logging in at the same time, so something else is causing your problem.

This is a pretty common problem, especially if you're using a Linksys router. You may need to update the router to the latest firmware version. Also, this article may also help: https://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Problems+with+multiple+computers+on+one+connection. What that doesn't mention is that you may need to forward the ports you choose from the router to the specific computers in order to get this to work.

Or, you could get a D-Link router, 'cause they like SL just fine. :D

There are a few threads in the Technical forum discussing this problem, as well.
