Is there an easier way of doing this?

I am still in newbie mode so this may be obvious to a lot of you. If I am walking along I can send general chat by hitting enter to get focus on the text box, enter the text then hit ESC to retern control to movement. Fine. But what if I am in IM chat. It seeme very awkward to keep reverting to the mouse to toggle between movement and an IM chat window. Is there an easier way in a similar fashion to general chat.

Personally, I use the 'Close chat after hitting return' option in the chat preferences tab. Doing this, I can hit enter, type text, then upon hitting enter, my movement controls are restored to the keyboard, and my chat is said. In the IM window, I think you can revert your keyboard to movement by hitting the escape key as well.

The IM window doesn't revert back, if you have return exits chat option on. Rather annoying.

I wish the last chat window used (Chat or IM) got focus when enter was hit, and that the IM window returned focus to the main window after hitting enter (to send the message).

Yeah this is anoying to me also, i use the "exit chat on enter" feature thingy, wish it applied to IM's to as i often find my self typing in an im, hitting enter, hitting A a bunch of times then looking up in the IM window and see "aaaaaaa". Heheh, guess you didn't really need to know that, but yeah that should be changed to "exit all chat/IM windows on enter".

CTRL-T will make the IM window go away and bring it back if it is not visible :)
