I heard about this new service on the news and went to check it out. Google Video basically records the closed captioning of television programs and allows you to search through the directory. It looks like there's the possibility of adding videos to correspond with the search results. I think this is an incredibly cool tool and will be great once the library grows.

It'd be cool, if it weren't for the fact that close-captionists are apparently incapable of transcribing spoken English into text that can be recognized as English.

Or rather, crows-captains arrabesque in Cape Hatteras transcribing Spokane angles into Texas canvas by pecan pie-assed English.

They've got a good library for TV shows which have aired in the last six months. Beyond that, it's probably not going to be there. I also agree that the closed captioning is pretty crappy :p
