Hi everyone, I am new to Second Life, and I have not had a chance to log in or play yet because I found out my card doesn't support OpenGL. I will be fixing this soon  I just wanted to know what I can expect before I log in! I hope to meet many of you in game and hang out sometime. Thanks! |

Ooooooooo you can come meet me... just DON'T listen to the horror stories about me.. I don't bite honestly, well at least not hard at first... BAH who am I kidding YES I DO! No, seriousy, its a fab place to be, and yes we are having slightly technical difficulities at the moment but hopefully all will be fixed soon There are some great ppl in world and I am sure they would be glad to hang with you me included! Heh thanks much! I know very very little about Second Life so far, so I'll probably be seeking out help from people here who are generous enough to give it.
When I get this blasted video card upgraded I'll be ready to log on and play with y'all!

Welcome to SL! I'm sure you'll have a blast The first thing you should do when you do log on is go to TLC -- The Learning Center -- and stock up on the information and freebies they have there. To find it, click on the "Find" button at the bottom of the screen and type in "TLC." Have fun and good luck!

If you're planning on getting a new card then you should check out the "Technical Issues" forum. There have been several thread discussions about which video card is the best for SL.
