Hello everyone =)

Woohoo! We've got a big ol' update for ya! Lots of registry additions, subtractions, and alterations to the website! Check out the release notes to get the detailed information on what's happening =)

I will have the updates for the in-world Registry and Map completed by later tonight or first thing tomorrow. I'm also going to bounce around and put single notecards with the entire thing into telehub advertisers that have space =D However we can always use new people that are willing to host our kiosks! Only 2 prims folks with a very simple script =) Just IM or PM me if interested!

I cannot thank everyone enough for the fantastic support we have gotten since we started in 2003, and we hope to give a lot of it back in 2005!!! Keep making SL beautiful :D

Ok everybody the updates are out in the world for the kiosk and the registry map! As I was finishing the map last night, the Lindens snuck in 8 more sims (sneaky buggars lol). So those are not listed anywhere but the registry map until the next update.

The registry map is getting to be a gigantic machine. Though it is in the simplest version I have created so far, it is a monster. FYI this particular service may go away over the next couple of months just because of prim and script use in Kumori. But have no fear the kiosks and website for the Park Service are here to stay! ;)

Thanks everyone! :D

Another pinnacle update!!!

Hey hey!

We've got 5 excellent new additions to the registry! As well as a bunch of other minor updates =) Most importantly though, we have completed the New Registry Kiosk! So there will be a self-updating version dropped to everyone. It is a little bit slower, but well worth it =D The website has already been updated and the in-world pieces will be done within the next 24 hours.

****
There has been less and less traffic to the registry map in Kumori, so it may be nearing it's end. It is getting to be enormous, and redesign for the forth time seems almost redundant when we have the website and the registry kiosks. However, this does bring a couple questions to mind...

Should there be landmarks and pictures available in-world for the Registry?

If so, would it be sufficient to put them into the kiosk notecards? Or are the notecards already too long?

What would you like to see improved about the kiosks to make up for this? ex. pop-up menus to select specific sims or the whole list, etc.

Anyone's input would be extremely appreciated since it is all of you that this service is for =D
****

Don't forget to let us know if you have a place you want to list in the registry! It's free! Just check out the website for guidelines and more info!

i think i broke that urn thing down in the cave under the rocks. i threw it into deep fairchang water to hide my shame. oh and now i've told it all doh what a butterbrain.

on a more positive note, fate park and fate gardens are both finally rebuilt in zoe and taber respectively. each has enough land to have items added for quite a while.

the park in zoe contains copyable plants from various creators and a free money bush. the plants are divided into three areas for cacti, deciduous trees & flowers, and tropicals.

the gardens in taber are designed to sell seasonal plants that change textures when the owner touches them. new models will appear regularly as long as the request list keeps growing; and boy does it grow quickly.

anyway, i missed the wire on this update, bad timing, i'll get something to you inworld before the next one. i'll also be glad to put a kiosk in both locations; but i don't know how that works. do you just drop them on people? or do you have to place them yourself?
