US Marines in SL. Semper Fi Devil Dogs!!!

I know you're out there, or rather in here, somewhere. I saw someone with those beautiful dress blues on, lookin damn sharp I must say, and you are now being called upon by your fellow SL citizen that you have sworn to protect.

The following is a link to the "Toys for Tots SL event" that DJ Shokra Patel and Annie Lily have been so gracious to put together here for the benifit of less fortunate real life children.

I suggested, and they concurred, this would make for an even more awesome event if they could have some US Marines in uniform at this event.

Anyone have, or knows who does, the US Marine dress blue uniform please contact them ASAP. The event is scheduled for Dec 4th.

I noticed a ton of Toys for Tots events are scheduled for this Saturday. Are they all inter-related? Just curious! I think it is a great idea for an event!

Jonny - would you post where to find the USMC dress blues in the forum or IM me in world if you find out who is selling them? I'd like to buy them for hubby (USMC 1968-1972) though still a Marine as he has informed me that there are no ex-marines.

But I thoroughly enjoyed this every year when I was in. Just the look and feelings of joy you bring to these children is unmeasurable. And the pride you feel from the respect and admiration of others who appreciate your deeds and dedication to protecting thier freedom and liberties at all cost. I'm gettin choked up here

Annie and I have been planning and working on this event since Mid-October. This is a SL wide event, with numerious clubs and merchants throughout SL supporting us. Participating clubs have already begun posting their TOYS FOR TOTS Event under the event listing for Saturday, December 4th from 6 - 10 PM PST.

Each participating Club will have a Toys for Tots raffle box at their location. Tickets will sale for 250L$ a piece and the more tickets you buy the better your chances will be at winning.

So far, we have close to 50K L$ and over 150K L$ worth of clothes, animations, poses, furniture, skins, makeup/tattoos and the list goes on... to be raffled off as prizes. (These figures/items are subject to change since donations are still coming into us daily). Out of the L$'s donated to this event, the club that sells the MOST tickets, the owner of that club(land) will win 15K L$.

Under the following link: /invalid_link.html I have posted part of the prizes that will be raffled off and by whom they were donated by. Some will have a value to them, some where asked to be kept confidental, and some were not given with a value. The items with "Bundle" in the description means there are numerious items with this prize.

NOTE: The prizes raffled off will not be sorted by gender. To make this fair each bundle/prize will be pulled to a specific winner. That winner may get female items or male items etc.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone that has participated to make this event happen, especially Jade and Robin for their raffling system, Blue for the donation of his server to handle 3,000 individual connections, Robin Linden and to everyone else that has donated time, items and L$!
