Why are so many people so pissed about the changes? The vast majority of the compalints I've seen so far on the boards here are moot complaints that are addressed in the E-Mail and webpage. It looks like many folks simply skimmed the email and then knee-jerked to the boards.
I can understand some of the Lifetimers being upset about parts of it though. But you are being gifted with 1/16th of a sim worth of land. Maybe if LL refunded a portion of your fees? I don't know....
Please, would some of you guys with issues put together a non-emotional discourse about this? I just don't understand why some of you are getting so hostile.

Phoenix, Many Sl users had multiple accounts and bought up all the land ;These are the people that are probably the most upset . What a lot of people are not understanding is that Linden Labs also has sponsered builds where people can be creative . Many people jumped without reading or thinking.
What makes me happy is most of the people that now want to participate in SL can. I read several posts recently that people were leaving because they couldn't afford land or sims were prim full. If a person is doing a good thing I am sure that Linden Labs will be supportive . All of the shouting will end .
You do have choices here .
1. You can accept the changes and like them. 2. You can accept the changes and not like them. 3. You can leave .

This system will most benefit those that used multiple account to buy land. The land/US$ ratio goes down the more land you want and most likely people with multiple accounts will be able to pay the same and get quite a bit more land.
For example someone with 3 accounts is currently paying $45 a month (give or take). That same money will get them 4,096sqm + the land that comes with the $10/mo and still leave them with $10 left over. That extra margin goes down if you use a multi monthly plan - but so does the $10/mo new charge.
