do non-linden topics qualify for posting on the event calendar? jarod & i are going to host some events i.e. "how to network your home broadband connection" and "more than you want to know about video cards."
the event forum and calendar seems the best way to let people know about them but that seems limited to sl howtos, contests and games. is it okay for us to post these kinds of events under "general fun?"
what's the possibility of a "real world" category. i suppose one option is for us to give a prize to the person managing to get in world with the slowest cpu or the oldest video controller. then we could call it a contest.
just trying not to break any rules here. any input is appreciated.

Maybe you could put it in the resident class category? This one still qualifies for the $500 hosting bonus, and is a seperate category from Linden classes (which are the ones for newcomers and hosted by the Instructor group).

okay. thank you cailyn. we'll list them as resident classes. now, do y'all have any specific computer or networking subjects you'd like us to cover?
