The following is a true story. Names have been withheld cause Teeny doesn't want to get jumped and smacked around by angry Lifers.

Second Life has a ghost. Lets just call her DE. DE was sighted this afternoon drifting across Morris, backwards. I thought the sim had crashed. Then, it occurred to me that if Morris had crashed, I would be sliding too. I Tracked DE as she drifted through hills, a cabin, and finally out to sea.

A moment later, DE reappeared, and drifted along the same path, and back out to sea. I went to the Welcome Area, and waited. Nothing.

A few minutes later, DE reappeared, this time drifting forward, along the same path. Also, when she hit high ground, she crumpled and went underground, with only her feet showing. Again, she drifted out to sea.

As I type this, I have staked out Morris, waiting for another appearance. Spooky.

lol, this phenominon often happens when a user is disconnected from the world un-cleanly (like if you disconnected your network cable). Your avitar just keeps floating in the direction that you were moving (if you werent moving, you just freeze in that position.)

I actually saw something like this earlier with Darwin Appleby's AV (I'm not sure if his AV was there, or if it was just his attachments, because they were full body). I saw him standing there, but I couldn't see his name, but I talked to him anyway... he didn't move but his head bobbed a bit, so I went to my IM list, and he wasn't on...

Whenever I looked a him later, he seemed to float in from the side and settle in the same place. Spooooooky!!!

I saw this spooky user myself this evening, and that is a really strange thing. When you disconnect you can appear to move away in a straight line, but this is an avatar that seems to reappear multiple times! Definitely something interesting and unusual.

Maybe it is a ghost. Scary.

Tonight when I was talking to Aurican...I couldn't see him at all! No name, no floaty attachments. Just air. Cept I could see his sparkles when he talked.

Let's hope he doesn't use this power for evil.

It happened to me once too. I was sitting on a ledge next to Horatio in Rte#66 and I teleported home. When I arrived I was sitting on my front steps and Hora was sitting next to me!!! I kept apologizing for dragging him with me, he didn't answer then he disappeared!! Finally realized it was just "ghosting"

OMG, i saw her too. Like 5 times! She looked like she went into appearance mode and just started floating backwards. I didn't think much of it, just figured she was lagged out. But then i would see her drift away again, in the exact position and exact straight line!
