It's gotten to the point whether this concept is being *intentionally* ignored, or LL is just doing a bad job of keeping track of our requests, or doesn't have the time to respond.
Why can't one of the sandboxes be an island?
In fact, given how unstable some of the builds in them are, why aren't they all islands?

Island sandboxes would be interesting and would keep things contained. However, as a neighbour of Cordova for about 10 months, I can say that the mayhem and wackiness in there rarely has any ill effect on Abbotts, apart from the occasional stray prim, which is quickly deleted anyway. They're ideally located -- other than Abbotts, they don't border on any inhabited sim. I actually like the ability to just hop over the ridge into Cordova when I need a larger space to work.

Taking a crack at your last question...
This way they are more newbie-friendly. Newbies can just randomly fly over to the sandboxes, or discover them. No big deal. I remember when I was a newbie, that mysterious island sim called "Avalon" really puzzled me, I couldnt figure out if I was supposed to go there or not.  |
