Hey are you a new content creator? Are you looking for a place to sell your wares? I might have a deal for you.
Etain and I have had a project in the back of our minds that if we should one day move to an island and be able to help new content creators, we would do that. That day has come.
Dark Eden will be moving to an island we are sharing with Ookami Ningen on November 3. We are setting up an open air street market for new content creators behind the mall.
So here are the particulars. We'll give you a cart in the street market area -- this is not inside the mall. You get five prims. The space and cart is free. No scripted vendors. No floating text. No scripts of any sort (unless you are selling them).
We expect you to create content on a semi-regular basis and move towards building your own business and one day moving out and making space for a different new content creator. There is no timeline for this but if your cart contents does not change for several months, expect us to be asking whats up and maybe asking you to move on if you aren't serious about building a business.
Right now, there are no open slots in the mall so you can't move there although if what you wanted was a cart in the mall we could talk about that. But really, aside from the kick start we are giving you, you should prepare to start your business outside of Dark Eden Island.
You may have a store elsewhere if you do this but please be a new designer that needs help getting the store some traffic. But if you are getting a fair amount of traffic already (2K+ a day) then I think you might already have the kick start you need.
Other stuff:
If you make new stuff and email me jpgs I'll blog it. You get publicity too. If you have a sale I'll blog it. If you make something free for one of the Dark Eden parties I'll blog it. All this blogging is contingent on you emailing me jpgs and descriptions. Being a Dark Eden Vendor disqualifies you from entry in the Dark Eden Girl of the Month. It doesn't do anything to past entries or winners though -- just future.
