For that price, you get the following:
- 90 different .RAW files (not in-world but per email)
- 90 full perm sculptie examples (see our shop)
- in-world photos of a number of the raw files in action
- no competition from us (we will stop selling raw files)
- exclusive rights (we will not sell this package to someone else)
What is NOT included:
- lessons in how to make/edit RAW terrain files
- our brand name 'Mud Maniacs' (also read note below)
- the shop (building and land) itself
- detailed info about our clients (names and email addresses)
We currently sell in an in-world shop as well as on Xstreet SL. We have 90 of our RAW terrain designs for sale. Our business started late April 2008 and we have sold a few hundred raw files so far.
Our estimated annual revenue (based on sales in last 8 months, with hardly any advertising and with our price politics): L$ 300,000. The costs of running this business are low. So far we've only done a cheap classifieds in search (weekly cost around L$ 80) and some highlights on Xstreet SL. Other costs for us include an annual fee for a domain name (but the business can easily be run without that) and a tool to make the sculptie examples. The only other investment is time to get the raw files delivered, do custom design jobs and the usual set-up of the shop etc.
Our collection is a mix of 3 main product groups:
- Novelty raw files (pictures, symbols, etc)
- Natural raw files (random island shapes with a natural look)
- Geometrical raw files (raw files intended for parcel division, i.e. for land rental)
We make our RAW terrain files with Photoshop. Previous experience with this program, or other RAW terrain file creation programs, is very much advised. We usually get a decent amount of requests for custom made RAW terrain files (sold at a higher price).
Our business/brand name is Mud Maniacs. Our brand name has settled in pretty well and is known by many people in SL. For above mentioned price, you cannot use our brand name. However, if you want to take over our brand name as well, the extra cost is L$ 50,000.
For the extra money, you get the following extras:
- an established business/brand name (not registered)
- all of our brand name materials in-world
- transfer of our webdomain www.mudmaniacs.com (transfer fees payable by you)
- website html/css/php code
