Rental directories and ad "malls" are not a new concept, but Rental ADVANTAGE is a BOLD new project to bring renters and properties together. Unlike other directories, we have this single, simple and powerful goal in mind:
"To bring an exclusive group of landlords together in partnership to
capture the top-ranked spots in Second Life's Classifieds search."
To do this, a small group of motivated landlords will split an equal stake in a top-ranked Classified ad in one of at least 6 targetted categories. Each landord will rent a wall panel in the Rental ADVANTAGE display area, where customers will be directed to from the advertisement. One week's rent from each landlord represents 1/10th the cost of the ad, which will be professionally written with a PROVEN description and relevant keywords. This strategy will bring customers in large quantities, while keeping the number of competitors on display very low.... for the common goal.
For example, right now several apartment/skybox landlords are each putting a $L500 share which is funding a $L5000 (five thousand!) targetted classified ad. That ad is garnering dozens of people a day looking -specifically- for that type of rental.
