The Rescue Park @ Canis Beach connects Second Life Residents with real life pets looking for new homes.
The Rescue Park was created as a tool to educate, promote, fund raise and create general awareness of real life animal shelters & rescues around the world. Any non profit rescue is welcome & volunteers are encouraged to maintain a kiosk for their organization.
We currently have over 15 shelters & groups represented, with more being added weekly.
The Canis Pier Garden of Memories provides a peaceful & beautiful setting for those looking to honour their departed RL pets.
The park is next door to the VKC dog park, home of the most amazing, realistic, trainable & interactive dogs in SL. Adopt your own, visit with other adopters, take classes & join playgroups.
The Rescue Park Shops has the largest selection of pets supplies & gifts in Second Life, as well as neko, furry & other quality fashion & decor merchants.
Please visit us and bring your SL dog or cat to play with any of the various dogs running in the park.
If you represent/volunteer for a shelter or rescue, Please contact Aztek Aeon in world. There is no fee for approved organizations to have a place in the park.
