You've probably seen prices ranging from 500l for one pic to 100l for one pic, right?
Maybe your planning a wedding and seen some photographer charge in excess of 7000l for half a dozen photo's and then say you will need to wait for more than a WEEK before they are "processed" and sent to you, right?
It's a problem every person who wants a profile picture, a wedding picture, a models portfolio or any kind of picture taken has had to face at one time or another in their search for the "ultimate" photographer. The truth is this...Adobe Photoshop is not some magical tool that only tech brained folks can use, its a tool that ANYONE can use. The reason most of these photo studios charge an exhorbitant price? Cause they KNOW folks will pay it. Thats why I started Mornington Photography. Not to make money, cause lets be honest here folks photographers are a dime a dozen in SL, but to make people, REAL people, who are behind those avatars im taking pictures of smile, and not break their linden bank account.
THE PACKAGES - PHOTOGRAPHY
Profile Shot - 150l per picture, includes photoshop work.
Model/Escort Portfolio - 700l for 5 pictures, all with your name on them, all packaged in an IntelliBook album to give out, the original pictures are boxed, everything trans, copy and mod.
Wedding Package - 3000l flat rate fee for 40 minutes which usually covers the ceremony and the first part of the reception, includes 30 pictures in package, intellibook album, framed main wedding shot, all original pictures (boxed), 2 old style digital photoframes with the wedding and reception, frames are trans and copy, intellibook is trans and copy, everything else is full perms. You will also get your wedding pictures ON THE SAME DAY!
VIDEO/MACHINIMA
Video - 7000l base rate fee per hour of shooting and editing, generally for a 10 minute youtube video it would cost on average 7000l to 10000l since most of the time spent on the video is the encode and during an encode my PC is basically unuseable, video is sent to the client as a zipped up WMV file ready for upload to the clients YouTube channel.
