Why Won't The Sl Event Listings Work?

It has been YEARS and there seems no way to make an event calendar work on the Second Life Servers.

404 Messages, store and land spam (with garage sales thrown in) and posting events that dissappear from the listings or never show up in the first place.

I decided to create a event posting group over at Faceboook. The Facebook Calendar function actual works, you see your event immediatrly and the slurls are clickable.

There are thousands of SL Users on Facebook that have signed up as their avatars (so no real life info needed). Even Linden Lab has a SL Facebook group there.
