***New Information*** -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have to write this note to the public because estate owner, dont want to negotiate with me fom reasonable way on last night. Because he believe his action is right about that issue. i will send my transaction history to him for proove i am stick to my responsibilities. (tier payment, and upfront) And he have no right for start reclaim process...
He check his transaction history today and accept he make calculation mistake last night. After that, he refund me immediately and proove he is real businessman and he have business ethic on inworld...
After our negotiation, (sadly he dont listen me last night, before all of this) now i believe he is honorable man, and he just make litte mistake while calculating his residents tier. But at the end of story both of us lost money from potancial sales, our time, and all our developments - efforts for the land.
So there is one rule in here for all estate owners, parcel owners, businessmen, women, included myself;
If you want to create longterm business, you cant do that with playing people dreams, because if you play with people, it means you are playing with your own prestige, and reliability! And that prestige always more important than money if we are talking about business... That is the key of succesfull business...
I hope this will be last missunderstanding between estate owner and resident, all of us have to stick our responsilibities if we are doing business on inworld. Because second life is a represantation of real life, and even if you dont think its real, we are real, and everything begin with our dreams.
So, i apoligize from estate owner for this missunderstanding by my side, and wish him luck on his second life. Even after all of that, I believe he will be more carefull next time while calculating tiers..
And sory for disturb you with this issue all..

Check The Facts

I would definately go over your contract with this person. Like with any business deal, make sure that you have followed all the rules. If you have followed all the rules then negotiate something out with Cal. If Cal is a good business person then something will be negotiated.
By the way I agree with the others. I believe SL Terms Of Service state that you are not suppose to name people in the forums.

Where there's smoke, there's fire

Thanks for the info. GENERALLY and of course there ARE exceptions, where there is smoke, there is fire. I will stay away from buying or renting land from that individual.

From: someone where there is smoke, there is fire. not necessarily... where there is smoke, there can also be a smoke screen. I've never heard of the landowner mentioned, but every private sim owner that I do know is pretty honest. My partner and I "owned" land in Dreamland (Ansche's area) and i've have nothing but good things to say about Dreamland. That said, I know that Ansche would have re-possessed our land there in a heartbeat if we had violated the covenant's of the sim we were in. Since most all private sim owners do pretty much the same thing.... when you buy land, you are actually only leasing land (and the same is true of linden land... don't believe me? stop paying tier and watch how fast Linden repossesses). You pay tier to the sim owner instead of linden, whom in turn pays the linden tier. Your tenancy in the private sim is contingent on agreeing to and obeying the covenant and any deed restrictions (for example, we lived in a Dreamland Japanese theme sim, so our house had to be Japanese architecture). Before saying that the sim owner was at fault, I would consider the possibility that the land buyer might have, and most likely unwittingly, failed to comply with the covenant of the sim. To draw an analogy, 2 strangers walk up to you on the street. One points to the other and says "he is a thief". The second points at the first and says "he is a liar". (I'm not accusing anyone of this... this is an analogy) Who should you believe? Are either what each is accused of? Probably not.

I appreciate your comment, Stephanie. however, IF a private sim owner is THAT eager to end the rental despite the rather large payment made to him or her, I think I would simply like to AVOID doing business with that individual period. Thats just me. I am certainly not advocating that others view this the same way I do. The sim owner in question may be a saint. I will probably never find out because I think the prudent thing for ME to do is avoid him.

Just for kicks, I looked up his profile, and I have only the following comment.
Please please PLEASE note that the person complained about in this thread only lists AZZURR and AZZURRA islands in their profile.
DON'T get them confused with Azure Islands - two completely different owners!

Never do business with Susanne Pasquale, she's a rip-off artist and sells unsafe products. I am now permanently blind due to using one of her textures. OK, just kidding -- but see how easy this is? One post is not smoke, it's a particle. If I didn't do business with any business that got one bad claim, I couldn't buy a car, use an airline, buy a computer, ... the list goes on. I could only do business with small-time operators flying under the radar, so to speak. Jancheau, this thread will probably get deleted, because it violates LL rules for the forum. Consider using one of the rating mechanisms mentioned in THIS LL BLOG ENTRY, or on one of the resident sites where these posts are permitted.

wow at first i was thinking of the well known business, and it wasn't until pointed out that I realized it was just a similar name. Anyone who names their business name so close to a large, established business is usually trying to play off the other's reputation. And that is usually a bad sign.

Fine with me Learjeff. I am not in business in SL. All I am is a consumer and if ANY business owner does not want to do business with me, that is certainly their right and their perogative. I'll just spend my money elsewhere.
