It's "rezzed" lol. Seriously (and I'm being serious) if you can't spell "rez" then no one will hire you. Like I misspelled it once and they were like... Uh huh, well, we'll get back to youu... And never did. So good luck with your future job

Well I'm screwed. Though in all fairness, I've seen a feel people spell it with an S, so only natural of me to figure you could say it like that since I'm new to all this SL terminology.
Willing to go dirt small pay if I have to...

Well since I'm completely new there are only a few things I can do anyways. Advertising and notecard writing/correcting is all I can list off the top of my head. Then again those sound like things that are incredibly easy for so and so to do themselves. I think its worth mentioning I'm a heavy roleplayer and could fill just about my type of role, but ha I doubt there are many funs jobs like that.

To the depths with this thread if there really isn't anything.. -.-

Most of the jobs on SL require you to be here 30 days before they will hire you. I was lucky and got a job two weeks into the game. But, I worked my rear off to keep it. Now, I own a club.
I am going to be honest with you. I hired new people when I first opened the club. However, all but 1 of the didnt want to work. That 1 is now a manager for me. However, due to that experience, I know why they wont hire someone who is less than 30 days old. I am hiring male strippers for my club which is a fun job. However, there are two factors here. First, it is a gay club. So, you would need to be comfortable with that. You will be stripping for males and females. But, since we are a gay club, the men are going to flirt with you.
However, the second one may be stopper. Due to the experience with hiring new avis, my business partners will not allow me to hire anyone who has been in the game less than 30 days. My question is how old is your avi?
If you are close to 30 days, then I will send you to dancer training. I require all my dancers go through this training.
Anyway, feel free to contact me inworld or here if you are interested.

I've always used 'rezzed', but I've seen a number of people use 'ressed' and have always taken it for a variant spelling, rather than a misspelling. (Hm... wonder if it's a regional thing...?) I can't speak for others' experience, however, and I can easily believe Ocean ran into people that uptight...
Personally, I'd rather have employees (if I had a business that called for them, which I don't) who can type fluent English and avoid textspeak. (ETA: And use your/you're correctly...)
A lot of businesses seem to prefer avatars who've been inworld for at least 30 days, but some are willing to make exceptions. And 30 days pass quickly, especially if you're busy exploring, freebie-hunting, and kitting out your avatar.
