Want a cafe? (Lodging included)

We are looking for one or two persons who would like to manage their own café. But it is just not any café! Make sure to read the whole thing!

The café is located in a big dark city with cyberpunk/game influences (NEO MACHINA), and the more you are into these kind of things yourself, the better. The city is young, but has a growing community with regular visitors/residents.

THE IDEA:

You'll have to earn your own money in tip or by other means, but you will get an unfurnished apartment within the same city during your employment. Your guests can be everything from scary creatures to normal people, they are usually something in between.

You (and your possible colleague, might be someone you don't know) may run the café as you wish, as long as it feels alive. One good idea to run a successful café business is to have fixed open hours, even if it is only one or two hours a day. If you wish to work more than that, then it is even better for you. When people know where and when they can get something, it will be easier for them to come back, and also recommend other people.

Any decoration, theme, events etc is up to you, as long as it is in theme with the city. The cafe already has all the basic equipment to be able to run it, and the city team has skillful builders and scripters which might be able to help you out if you need anything special.

We hope you have one or more of these qualities: Charismatic, charming, businessminded, creative, flexible, quick to action, perceptive.. Being able to adapt to other people or situations.

If you ever saw a shy clumsy maid or excellent butler in an anime and wanted to be that person, here's your chance. Or the indian chef who are rude to everyone he sees, screaming and throwing kitchen utensils around. Or the sexy waitress that works part-time as an assassin and has many exciting stories to tell her customers...
Make your role/roles into a trademark, something for people to talk and tell their friends about. Or just be your wonderful self, if you have what it takes.

IMPORTANT: If you already run too much time-consuming jobs/business in SL, and also have your home elsewhere, then you are not the right person, sorry.

We want to give this opportunity to creative people who wish they had all that, but don't, and we also think that such a person would put more passion/time into it. The people to work in this café should think of it as a personal, fun and dear project.

We are merely giving you a new home and business, with possibilities limited by your own creativity only.

SETTING:

"The air is polluted, making the many neonlights around the town glow even more. People are adviced to wear gasmasks at all times but they seldomly bother.. The technology of the city is a mix between new and old. There are some really old retro-shops around, like the old pharmacy, they might have been there for countless generations, noone really remembers anymore. Occationally you will see a bot flying around and search for something. High up in the sky you will notice a huge mystic ship carrying a huge temple, and the ship has anchored to the skyscrapes. Across the street (from the café), a newspaper office is located.. You have a feeling they will eye your café often enough to make up something hideous to write about. But at least they are kind enough to give you free ad-space.."
