Hello,

my name is Cecile Collins and I am interested in opening a school, academy for
Models. My goal is to train the girls and boys in evry aspect of being a good Model.
I have been working for a model agency in SL and in RL and I know what this business is
about and what is needed to be a good Model.

If someone is interested in working with me on this matter, I woul be more than welcome
to talk to you and who knows, maybe a stable partnership can be set up. I own enough land to have the academy build and the financial resources to kee p it running.

What I need is a person with fresh ideas and willing to work toggehter with me, someone
with experience in SL and the Modelling business itself. I can't wait to start working on this project, so please contact me soon, if you are seriously interested.Thank you

Not to rain on your parade or anything but what can anyone teach that would benefit someone wanting to model in SL?

All ones needs is a good shape and skins and some nice clothing (or if it's for a clothing ad clothes from the employer). All the poses and lighting is usually taken care of by the photographer.

So it's kind of hard seeing how a school would be of any use to anyone?

Might I suggest a school to teach newbies how to look good, make their own shapes and find the right skin and clothes for themselves and not worry about getting modeling jobs?

Actually, I went to a fasion show yesterday, the people that put it on did great but some of the models were.. well .. less than model like. A class for the basic runway knowledge would have done them good.

That is also easy enough of a problem to take care of without a whole school. Simply put down color codes on the runway and point them out, tell them go to this point turn around than to this color spot turn ect ect.... If someone can't figure that out they probably won't get asked back the next time. If they have a walk animation that looks funky point them out to the place that sells one that you approve of and once they have it you can give them the 100L or so to pay them back if it's so important. Again it's not like RL modeling where they need to know makeup arts, hair, skins management, posture and walking and acting professional with clients.

Suffice to say several avies in sl are charging from 1500 lindens to 4000 L to "train" models, do a seach and You will see. PT Barnum once said, a fool and their money are soon parted. Hate to tell everyone modeling is not exactly a lucrative field in sl but hey one of these days someone will figure it out. Trust me there is more to it than slapping down some roses and saying go. Try having some decent hair, and poses and make yourself visible...before you shell out tons of lindens.
