Marketing/Public Relations Manager needed! L$1,500/wk

100% SL START-UP Company needs marketing manager


Responsibilities:
Develop marketing strategy based on company's mission, vision, and strategic goals
Carry out all marketing functions


Oversight:
Works directly with CEO
Must submit weekly reports to CEO


Qualifications:
Must have extensive/good knowledge of SL(in-world) and RL(internet) marketing.
Must have good communication skills
Skill with graphics/photography software
Fluent in English
Must have 5 hrs or more per week for business related activities not including weekly meetings on weekends.
Must have microphone and headphones setup for business meetings.


Compensation:
L$1,500 / week starting salary
Salary will be reviewed after 6 weeks to see whether it should be increased.
Monthly bonuses available based on performance.


Upward mobility potential
Position has the potential to grow into the VP of marketing for the entire company. VP's will have stock options in the company and receive income as well as dividends from company performance.

I had no idea the L$ was this strong. The exchange rate to US $ must be inverted! I guess I can retire and buy a country now!

1500L$ per week is a lot more than you can make working at some places... like dancing or hosting events...

Hi...while it looks like a great job...as an SL marketing consultant I charge far more than that for the work you are requesting. I also work for much more than 5 hours per month the achieve the goals. I have a proven track record of increasing traffic with real people who are interested in what the client offers. I also help new businesses get going and put a marketing plan in place. In addition, I have worked with RL biz here in SL. My point is, there is no qualified person with the skills you are looking for who would work for the amount you are offering...it is a reality. I dont camp either or host LOL. But you will get what you pay for with me...if you want to discuss further, please IM me....I would be happy to talk about your needs for free.

I think the complaints are due to the requirements the OP seeks for the rate they are offering.

They are looking for RL qualifications for SL wages, to promote and help build a business for him (yes the lucky candidate can maybe eventually become the VP, but that means squat, the owner can oust the VP anytime they like)

this position takes real knowledge, real time, and real effort, unlike dancing or hosting (before anyone jumps on me, yes they do take real time and effort to a degree, just not on the same level)

to host, you can use gestures, yep big time saver and effort, and in my experience many hosts do not even do that, they simply spam the event, and woot, hooot, howl and jiggle a lot

to dance, well you click a pole, chair, ball, etc and let the avatar do the work, a good dancer will engage in conversation

(I know this because I have done both, host and dance in multiple places) heh

because its sounds like a highly qualified job. Knowledge of Photoshop, the internet and SL marketing amonst other things.
I pay L$15,000 a week for my copyright agent to visit stores off speck and respond to reports from customers to issue DMCA warnings.
The pay should reflect how much impact the person will have on the revenue for your business and as marketing both in RL and SL is the key ingredient to success the wage should reflect that
I would of suggested commission based on growth of revenue and/or customers.

TRU is 90% word of mouth but there are new ( and quite frankly terrible quality stores ) out there faking 30K traffic with traffic bots and 17 Alts and grabbing new comers to SL/ Sure these ppl find better stores long term and never go back but It angers me that they exploit noobs into thinking their junk must be the best in SL just because they show up No 1 on the old search list when in reality anyone can grab what they ask 350L for off the net for upload fee only. ( website backgrounds 128 x 128 all catagorized into colors ) Blue Red Green swirly pointless crap lol.

I'm assuming this position doesn't offer tips either, which both of those do.

My partner is a dancer (LIke.. a new dancer, not experienced), and her first night working she made over 2k in tips. In probably 4 hours total, which then gets added to her job's pay.

1500 is not much, even for a dancer or host if they get tips.

I have 6yrs experience working as a RL VP of Marketing at a large financial Firm and hold B.A's in Marketing and Visual Communications (Graphic Design) I am looking for something other that dancing for tips so being able to use my skills in game would be great! I also have the entire Adobe CS2 suite w/Go live and Macromedia Suite for Web design and Flash animations.
