Commercial retail sim Community Manager wanted: Rue DAntibes

Looking for someone to help manage and promote my retail shopping sim. Your responsibilities would be to keep in touch with vendors and our shoppers (whats going on in the community essentially), organize events, help find promising new renters, make announcements on the blog, groups etc. I already have someone who helps manage the accounting, leases, overdue notices etc. Your job would strictly be helping grow and maintain a community atmosphere for both shoppers and merchants. I am looking for someone who will bring their own experience and ideas to the table and be able to organize and execute events on their own.

You must:
-have experience in organizing events and contests
-have experience maintaining groups
-be comfortable using a blog and flickr and working outside of SL at times
-be good at working with people
-be in touch with current SL trends and culture
-be able to provide references
-be reliable and looking for a long term commitment
-be self sufficient to develop and execute your own ideas
-have good communication skills

Payment/compensation will be discussed on a case by case basis. I do believe in paying people fair wages for their time and effort and am also open to sharing profits so you do well if the sim does well.

About the Sim:
Rue DAntibes is a commercial shopping sim with 50+ shops and merchants that dates back to 2007 when it was first built for the Otherland company as their flagship commercial sim by me. Otherland did not survive the drastic changes to the land market so I took over ownership at the end of 2008. It is not your typical mall with endless rows of identical shops/stalls and has a village atmosphere and its share of enthusiastic renters. The village also has the double task of displaying a line of prefabs for sale. It neighbors my other sims; Demersal my main store, Baros and bijou prefab display sims, Tableau the popular shopping sim, and the Trompe Loeil Prefabs sim.

About me:
I have been in Secondlife since 2004 and am rounding on my 6th year here. I work here full time doing custom development for companies, organizations, or other SL businesses and creating prefab architecture and other items for the residents of second life. Unfortunately I do not always have the time I would like to dedicate to Rue and its wonderful merchants. I like to be involved and updated on how things are doing, but do not always have the time to take care of it myself. Expect my level of involvement to fluctuate with my schedule.
