Budding Artist seeking Mentor

I am no Pro.
I create for fun and enjoyment.
Yet sometimes I wish I had someone I could discuss projects and learn more from directly.
To have feed back.
I have thought at times doing custom textures for pay but I don't feel I am ready.
I would like to find someone who is interesting in being mentor and friend who shares
my interest in the Arts, Textures who has few hours week to discuss projects, give feed back.
Interested message me in world or within the forum mail box.
I would love to advice also in how to present my creations for wider audience and ways to keep in upload money because in my rl I am on fix income due to illness but I don't want to it to be primary reason why I create.

you might want to try rendervisions (aka art door). we're a community of artists dedicated to helping each other out, teaching, tutoring, and giving feedback and such.

you can check out theartdoor.com for the forums and galleries, and look up 'the art door' group in-world. stop by rendervisions isle (especially weekends and wednesday nights from 5-7 slt, because we're doing photos with santa this month) and poke around. it's a relatively new island.

i can't say as any one person can spend a few hours a week with you, but i think you'll find some artists in a similar vein that you can relate with. plus the forums are there for communication 24/7. :)

Yeah I put the post here not expecting much either way.
Recently been on later in evening slt...but I try to log in earlier on Wednesday and get a hold of you.
I have friends who help sometimes every few months and a friend who helps when she can who I share a sim with....but its always nice having more people interested in similar things or discuss art, textures with in world.
Forums are great but sometimes its nice to have someone to talk with in world about what you're doing,etc.
I did met one person from this post. We probably end up sharing what we know with each other.
I am struggling with how to use the art tools to create images and how to paint on texture maps.
I do stuff similar to what is in signature, some old master reproductions, and various other type of texture related creations.
I don't know if it ever be good in "realistic" sense but its something I enjoy.

By the way I didn't know where to put this request so I will include actual job request...
I am available for custom textures and art projects depending on project is within
my current skill level to do it.
I normally charge only whatever it is cover the upload charge and whatever extra the
person can afford for textures for personal use or as part of project but not for resell of single textures.
