Hi all,
I enhanced Ziggy Puff's ZHAO II animation overrider by adding supplementary menu buttons to play certain animations for mood (smile, cry etc.), gestures (bow etc.) and dance. Furthermore, I added hug and kiss animations and a feature to start any of the SL standard animations as well as the animations enclosed in HUD's content folder. This is convenient, for example, for playing model poses or a quick animation preview. Last but not least I did some minor changes, like sorting the menu buttons.
I offered Ziggy to use this enhanced version as origin of further ZHAO development, but so far he preferred keeping his basic version. On Ziggy's request I changed the name and built a separate distribution: 'HJAO'.
HJAO holds configurations for replacing the SL default body movements with custom animations. It's equipped with several prefab model poses, a collection of walking and dancing animations as well as sitting poses and comes with prefab configurations for male and female avatars.
In case you'd like to participate, please address a demand for copy by IM to Huney Jewell. Any feed-back on issues, usability proposals etc. highly appreciated. Please write your response in this thread in order to get other participants informed, too.
Greetings
Huney

Huney,
I sent you an IM, but just in case you're capped...I would LOVE to test your new AO. I miss my HUDDLES, which got all wonky due to an SL viewer update, and your new device sounds like it includes many of its capabilities.

huney's HJAO
09-16-2007 04:50
thank you huney for offering the HJAO and meeting up. i've now tried out most every function and would like to give some feedback.
in general, this is a neat tool, move, gesture, dance with one click. very nice if you are using several programmes at the moment and don't like switching between them or are experiencing interferences of the different gadgets.
if you try to edit the notecards inside, beware though, as they take VERY long to load.
there is a nice feature, 2 different sets of gestures, included in the hud with a click. some of them are named in english, some in german, and some in half english and half german - a bit difficult to understand maybe if you don't speak/understand german. also with this feature, i am missing a *back* button, which takes you back to the last selection, instead of having to select *cancel* and go back o the start-up hud-screen.
what is very nice is that you can switch the hud on and off with a click, well, as with all huds availbale now.
this is a good chance for people looking for a hud that *does it all*, test it and ask huney to get back to you, she's very friendly and will meet you if you have questions.

Beta test period is over
09-18-2007 02:09
Beta test period is over and it's been released now. You can pick up a copy at Ziggy Puff's 'Material Squirrel Wings' shop on Winged Isle, just aside the original ZHAO II. This is the link: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Winged%20Isle/31/77/47/?title=HJAO%20Animation%20HUD&msg=Enhanced%20Animation%20Overrider%20based%20on%20famous%20ZHAO%20II Thanks for all the offers and your feedback, though I expected some more statements. If the rest of you have any comments or feedback, I sure would appreciate to hear it. Greetings Huney
