Ive been "hired" by three clubs in the past two months yet havent worked a single shift. The club I initially was actually working for had an owner that ran two clubs and basically couldnt ride two horses with one butt if you get my meaning here, so no event planning or effort went into the one where I was working and it fell apart, so I went job hunting.
I was hired at a live menu cafe, got a hire packet and everything, then the manager cancelled training me one hour before we were supposed to meet because she was sick, and then said the venue was remodeling.. why hire someone only to go into rennovation mode in the next few days?
Another club closed down, remodeled and changed themes without telling anyone. Just plain disappeared for a week or more. Eventually it reopened as an RP cafe with the co-owner hosting.
One club hired me over a month ago for a shift they were trying to put together, so I understood the wait, yet when they finally got it together, the manager in charge of adding me to group never showed and then said "My Bad". This is a formal club, and very well known.I had confirmed meeting with him the day before and he was online the whole time he just didnt bother showing.
So here I am now at the end of my sad tale. Im pretty reluctant to continue job hunting, I build on my free time and I usually buy Linden but I was hoping to find a fun, professional atmosphere where I could possible earn a bit in-game.
If there is anyone that has a business opportunity that does not involve stripping, or escorting please feel free to contact me via notecard in world. I have experience as a hostess, and I enjoy music but would work as a personal assistant and can commit the time to learning something new. I make my own hours in RL so I can be flexible concerning scheduling. To everyone else may your job hunt fair better than mine!!

i am amazed that any business at all gets done in SL, given the level of intelligence of 99% of the business owners in SL. I have ran across more sloppy, unprofessional, dont care attitudes than i can recall. i have probably filled out between 25 and 35 job applications over the last 3 weeks and have received 0 response...so yeah i know what u mean.

Well, you just insulted 99% of the business owners in SL. Not really a great way to make an impression in obtaining a job. Speaking of sloppy.....you might want to spell "U" as "You" in your job applications. Rylie - I checked out your listings on Xstreet - cool stuff - put your efforts in designing and adding to those, and you'll do better than relying on someone else, for a piddly amount of lindens. You've got a great start. Call me if you need any help.

Wow. thanks so much Mickey, thats very nice of you. I guess Im just still new at building and critical of how it looks but I would like to eventually build full time. Thank you for your offer of help I will certainly keep you name as I can always use a second opinion and advice from more seasoned designers.
