What is the easiest way to get a job? I'm new to Second Life, but I can't figure out how to make any money. Could anyone help me? Any advice would be appreciated.

First rule of SecondLife:
Don't get on SecondLife with the goal of making money. Second rule of SecondLife: DON'T get on SecondLife with the goal of making money. That said... The EASIEST way to get L$ is to BUY them through the LindeX here on the official SL website. The 2nd easiest (although much slower) way is to find yourself a 'camping chair' and sit there for hours on end gaming up some location's traffic rating while they pay you pennies. Other than that...there are myriad ways to make money, but money doesn't come cheap or easy. I've been 'working' in SL for almost two years now...and have only recently started making a decent amount of L$ / month. As it is an emerging technology, you'll end up doing 100x the work for 1/100th the pay offered in "real life". Hence...easiest way to get L$ is to buy them. Hopefully...as SL continues to mature...residents will realize that paying L$3000 for something is actually quite reasonable...and maybe then you'll find it easier to make money, get hired, etc. _____________________

yes i would have to agree, as a rule of thumb. Generally i would say to people coming in to secondlife. 'If you don't have any idea of how you want to make money when you come into secondlife, then don't try'. Its a very crowded market place out there for most things and there is just too much competition for mainstream things, clothes, homes etc.
That said, you can make a small amount by doing club work although you will get paid a pitiful amount and probabl find it pretty depressing. If you have RL skills such as being a salesperson, or knowledged in a field that is also a possibly source of employment. hope it was helpful Good Luck |
