I am newer to SL and want to learn scripts, etc. but do not have a lot of time. Anytime self learning would take away from my time as a resident. If you would be interested in being a paid tutor as well as create gestures, etc., please let me know. I will pay 6L/hour paid in 15 minute increments.

You must be an experienced resident as well as patient and a good teacher. LMK!

If you get anyone willing to teach you at that rate they will either charge nothing or be useless.

Lol, I hope you made a typo; an eperienced resident for 6l$/hr.
What about 6us$ an hour ?

Hi Colette, welcome to second life. You can assist to free scripting lessons at the many universities that you can find in second life. Go to search / events tab and search for "script" or "scripting", one of the unversities I know is Fermi University for example and there are many others that offers free lessons.

Also I recommend you to take a look at lslwiki, here are two nice tutorials for beginners:

LSL is a programming language just like any other so it will help you a lot if you learn something about basics of programming.
