We been around so long because the owners are very dedicated to offering an experience that is bar none.
We offer DJs opportunities to create their own-original rock shows. We provide a very talented host and we provide an audience to rock out with you. Please being your fans and also promote your shows to help us help you.

The Riff is under reorganization with a professional club consultant (SamanthaS Nightfire), who is working with club owners to stabilize the work environment by organizing the club structure with profit, progress, originality and creativity in mind. Now, would you rather work for a club that is organized and has staying power or work for one that is starting up. 99.9% of clubs on SL close within 60 days of the opening date, most last 30 days.

We promote creativity and originality among staff. We also have a weekly syndicated talk show and have in mind to syndicate our best DJ shows and also adding a new feature to SL with request from guest live on the air. We are EXPANDING & seeking DJs with 2 hour sets. Min once a week sets but if you want more, that's up to you...We are all about ROCK MUSIC - Every Rock Genre!!

We've revamped our lineup, increased available hours and are recruiting top DJ's in SL. DJs create *their* shows their way.

EXPERIENCED DJs only. This is the venue to perfect and experiment with your craft because we allow for original creativity.

We own our own sim, hold sponsored events, have regularly scheduled live concerts. The SIM has lots of vendors (increasing everyday). The Riff Rock Club is on a well situated mature mainland sim with the theme of old Chicago.

We've seen many other clubs come and go for many reasons but we are still around because at The Riff we've always served up a wide variety of entertainment, have a vision for growth and success and have a plans in place that could include you.

We are very supportive & dedicated to our staff, our sim and The Riff.


The Riff, DJ Criteria for auditions:

DJs are expected to:
Have their own software as well as hardware and music to support their sets
Have the technical knowledge on hooking up and diagnosing a stream
Handle music request / download music as requested
Have / use a mic and a show personality
Speak well (clearly) and promote a sponsor (when needed)
Engage their audience, be creative and not depend on profanity to carry a show.
Be reliable and accountable as well as displaying a professional attitude and positive behavior 100% of the time.

I'd like to apply for a DJ job, as I've been searching for one since the last club I went to shut down without prior warning. I have some experience as an online DJ, and am always keeping on the lookout for more music.

Just as long as people are willing to put up with a fur, of course.
