I own a very established brand here in SL known as "Aitui" and am looking to add a designer to work with me to further my female line. You will be making more than "pocket money" guarantee, this is a very serious and great opportunity!

Please note!!!! - Your design skills must be up there with mine, not below. I like to release quality products or not release at all.

You will be working under the name "Aitui" and as this is not "self-employment" your sales will be split. In the future this may change.

You must be a hard and diligent worker, not someone who is only able to release 2 products a month due to RL issues and/or lazyness.

I am not looking for someone to use the brand as a footstool to gain success and then leave. If you want to start your own brand eventually, please do not apply. I am looking for a long-term employee/partner!

I would prefer someone familiar with the brand who has a great liking for it and would love to work along side me.

I would prefer to work with a female. Skilled womens hair-maker/skinner is an extremely high plus. (!!!)

If you are good at building with prims and texturing- definitely a plus! (It would be nice to have someone who knows how to set up the inside of a shop, this would be extremely helpfull to me)

Must be good spirited and friendly with customers. Not looking for people centered around drama as things you say will directly affect how my brand does.

Most of all we must get along.. The better.......the better :)

--------- All interested may send me a folder in world as follows:---------------

(If titled wrong it will be overlooked)

Title the folder "Aitui Employment Op for <Your Full Avatar Name>"

If you currently run a shop you may include the Landmark.
(Again, please be aware you will be working under and for 'aitui')

Include some clothing, hair, etc you have made in the past.

Please include a notecard about your future endeavors in second life and why you would like to join forces with me. Let me know where you are located in RL and how many hours a week you typically devote to second life.

Send me the folder inworld, be sure to also send me a little instant message to let me know you have sent in a folder.

I will probably not be able to get back to everyone, and it will take me awhile to look over everything. So let me just say now- Thank you to all who apply for this.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Interesting. When we say we prefer NOT to work with a female it is sexist.... You prefer NOT to work with a male, how is that different?

And I prefer NOT to BUY from someone who is a sexist..... See ya...

Hi Alec, sorry that you have been offended. I am certaintly not a "sexist."

I prefer to work with a female as I am wanting to expand my female line, while I take care of a mens line. I felt that a female may be able to better address the issues of female design more properly.

Males are certaintly welcome to apply. If a man thinks he is great at designing female clothing, skins, and hair, I welcome him with open arms.

It's always good to know what you're talking about before you say something stupid and make yourself look like a complete ass.

Alec, you are obviously not familiar with the Aitui brand.

Jesse did not stutter. He said he is looking to expand his brand with a partner. He already makes men's hair, skins and unisex tattoos and clothes. He is looking for a partner to develop women's skin and hair.

The last time I checked women were making women's skins and hair. Unless you know of a great male content creator who is interested in making Aitui brand products for women its probably best not to make disparaging and accusatory comments.

Be constructive or be silent.

Good luck finding someone, Jesse.

No offense to my fellow man, but I think a female would have a tad more insight to whatever issues there might be for femmes than a guy lol. He's not being sexist, just trying to expand an already great business with someone who knows what to do. :P

Thank you to those who gave me well wishes.

To the rest- Can we not pick apart my preferences? I have not once said men were unqualified to do women`s fashion. I am beyond aware there are men, both in RL and SL, who do womens fashion.

As I stated- If there is a man reading who is interested then there will be no prejudices if he turns in an application, several men have already applied. However, it is my *preference* to work with a female, this is not sexist nor is it hinting men are unqualified.

Can we try not to turn my thread into a debate?

I am going to request that a moderator lock this thread. It was not intended to have a discussion following it.

The job will remain open until the right person is found.

Thanks.

Remember folks, it's not always what you say, but how you say it that causes problems.

He said he would prefer a female counterpart, he didn't say "men need not apply". It would be valid in this situation to point out discriminatory hiring practices if they were going on. Further travel along that train of though will be considered Flaming.

I do not understand why this thread was not locked. The one I was in was simple banter back and forth, yet it got locked reason first give was this is a classified structure forums, yet this one remains open even after a request IN the thread to lock it down.

What gives?

Always safe to include an EEO statement. SL is becoming more and more like RL. It's always a good practice to be PC as you never know how your message is going to be interpreted.

I wish I could partake in this opportunity. Alas - I have no time machine and my cloning machine broke last week. I am up to my eyeballs in RL and SL stuff. I hope that you find someone..

Good luck! :)
