Copyright Agents Required.

Textures R Us has been trading for 4 years and has grown to be SL's largest supply of hand rendered original textures with 150,000 repeat customers.

With 40 artists we are are now in need of a team of copyright agents to act of our behalf visiting full perm stores, scanning the new search for stores that sell textures doing random " find and search" visits.
We also recieve reports from TRU customers who find stores on their travels. This information will be passed onto yourself to follow up on.

At the end of each week you will forward a report of all stores ( name , name of owner, location and action taken ) to myself.

This is NOT a witch hunt. Our copyright team must be tactful and be able to communicate with manners, profesionalism and kindness whilst at the same time able to get the messege accross in the way of a pre written notecard detailed below.
The ability to speak or write in different languages is a definate bonus.
Portugese, German, Dutch, French, Greek, Italian etc.
If you can speak one of the above as well as English would be a benefit.

The 2 pre written notecard notices are as follows:
Notecard No 1 ( if no copyright breaches are found )
Will be a gentle warning, advising store owners that distribution of our textures is prohibited in accordance with our End User Agreement License and will be handled with swiftly and seriously.
As such should they see any of TRUs textures for sale it would be wise not to buy them with the intention of resale. And infact if they inform us of another person distributing our work they may be entitled to a cash reward

Notecard No 2

If TRUs textures ARE found on location, you will issue a 24 hour pre written DMCA ' take down notice ' advising the person if the copyright breached work is not removed within 24 hours we will immediatly FAX LL details and location allowing LL to act on our behalf and and remove all and any violated work from their land and inventory.
You will need to list all textures the names of the vendors that contain them and take photos as evidence. The exact location, name of store and store owner.
They will also be advised that the TRU team of artists have right to seek financial and legal damages via our company lawer by obtaining their real name and address from LL

A knowledge of copyright is important as is SL's DMCA procedure. You will preferably have a good knowledge of TRUs work and care about the moral and legal rights and wrongs of IP and content creation theft within SL with a view that education is paramount to the success of getting the messege accross to new comers in SL that feel " its just a game"

Payment will be in the form of a fixed fee per successful seek and removal whether they remove immediatly or following a DMCA Linden Lab removal. 95% of cases do not require LL intervention.
