Recently there have been busloads of newbies coming into SL that don't have a clue of what to do or what to expect inworld. Most of the ones I have met recently are the nicest people around and really want and need help with the basics.
I was also a newbie almost 4 years ago, and although many residents dropped free stuff on me no one actually took the time to show me the ropes. I remember fumbling around naked, yes I said naked, trying to learn what to do and where to go.
Being the owner of the Pussycat Lounge in Skutter, I have taken in a few newbies, given them skins, a few lindens and a landmark to the Freebie Dungeon. I then hire them as dancers when they return looking like they've been here for months!
My point is... I CARE ...and this is where this post begins....
I am starting a 'Newbie 101 Class' this coming Monday, June 9th, from 10 am till 12 noon SL time. In these two hours I will cover such subjects as shapes, gestures, inventory, landmarks and more!
There is no cost for these classes and you will receive a box full of notes and items to make your transition into SL a little easier!
