Callidora Beach Concert ! - June 21, Saturday 6:00 PM SLT
Join us on Callidora Island on JUNE 21st for another great Relay for Life Benefit concert and a Celebration in Memory of "Dolly". A Great place, Great Time, Great Music, Support a Great Cause and Celebrate!
The Relay for Life is sponsored by the American Cancer Association and is a Real Life event as well. All will led up to the grand finale in July. There will be official ACS Donation Kiosk scattered around the island and at all the venues. Spare some lindens and make a donation, every one counts! Additional information regarding the Relay for Life will also be available.
June 21st Venue
We will have silent AUCTIONS during the events. Drop by at 5:00 PM to preview the items and goodies that will be up for auction. All proceeds go to the Relay for Life donations. Some auction winners will be announced each hour and others after the last event at 9:00 PM depending on the item.
The Benefit Concerts will kick off Noma Falta at 6:00 PM. Noma Falta is a seasoned musician in Real Life beginning to step in to the virtual world of Second Life. Noma has toured the United States over several decades and has sung all kinds of music from jazz to soul and rock to blues. A classical violinist playing in a symphony from the age of 7, Noma decided singing was her love and went on the road at the age of 16 singing in coffee shops (pre- Starbuck's!) and through out the years gracing large auditoriums opening for acts such as Edgar Winter, Leon Russell, Nazareth, The Producers, and many others. From One nighters to Holding house gigs and Studio work and national TV spots, Noma's voice is in demand. She can be heard on many blues cd's singing backup and she has Two CD's she has cut with her band, The BackBeats. Rock on!
Next that evening at 7:00 PM we have Beauregard Freenote acoustic guitar singer and song writer. Performing In RL for Over 25 Years, Beauregard’s musical influences were Elvis, Woody Guthrie, Ramblin Jack Elliott, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, and others. Beauregard is just plain great! What can we say… By the way he loves boats.
8:00 PM SLT we will feature the wonderful voices of Satin and Erin68. Satin and Erin68 are a real life couple and live together in WI. They met through music and include in it their daily lives as much as possible. Satin has sung must of his life, and grew up in a very musical family. "Everything involved music growing up" Satin says. Talent comes from deep within him. Satin played drums and sang lead vocals in various bands back in NY growing up. Erin68 Frog has been singing most of her life and has a music backround and education. She's taught voice over the years and loves all there is in music! Together, they shine! You'll hear the love they share in every note sung!
