SUBMISSIONS DUE JUNE 29th
Accepting ORIGINAL art submissions from Second Life Artists in the following catagories:
- - - - PHOTOGRAPHY (rendered Second Life photography or "real life" photography are both accepted)
- - - - FREEHAND ART
- - - - TEXTURES
Cash and other prizes will be awarded... there's something for everyone! Grand Prize - Best in Show - will receive 1000L! All submissions will be on display from July 5th through the 13th in a public fair/festival with scheduled events in Bella. All exhibitors are encouraged to help promote the fair (I will have notecards and posters you can distribute and/or hang), and are also invited to spend some "hang-out" time at the fair to help promote their works. PAN, in addition to the being the greek god of the Satyrs and music, is short for PROMOTING ART (and artists!) NETWORK.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
1. All artwork should be ORIGINAL art created solely by the submitting artist. "Tweaking" someone else's art is not considered art. We reserve the right to reject any submission for any reason.
2. Entry fee is 50L per submission (one submission per artist per catagory please), or FREE if you agree to the commissioned sale of your work during the fair. PAN (Promoting Art Network) keeps 30% to go towards organizing future Art Fairs and Festivals. Sales prices for the fair exhibits are based on award: Grand Prize winner will be allowed to determine his or her own sales price (they can choose to GIVE it away also, which is fine), while Blue Ribbon exhibits will sell for 300L, Red Ribbon exhibits for 150L and White Ribbon exhibits will sell for 30L. All displays of art will include a notecard about artist or artwork comments, and artists may also submit a LandMark to their personal galleries if they wish to.
3. Submitted Photos/Freehand Art will be sold on No Copy (Mod/Transfer) paper or canvas prims, and textures will be sold boxed the same way with a notecard warning that purchaser does NOT have permission to sell textures alone. ALL SUBMISSIONS AND RIGHTS WILL REVERT BACK TO THE ARTIST FOLLOWING THE FAIR.
4. Artwork should be submitted in SecondLife by June 29th by sending a crate containing photo(s)/art in photo or texture format (512 x 512 preferred), a notecard with artist information and/or comments, and an optional landmark to Moonshy Littlething. RENAME photo/art to reflect the piece's title followed by the submitting artist's name (i.e. "SUN" by Moonshy Littlething - limit is 62 characters/spaces), and DESCRIPTION should be the catagory you wish to enter. Please add DO NOT SELL if you opting to pay the entry fee, which should also be paid in when you send your submission.
We're looking for sponsors to donate prizes or Lindens to reward artists' efforts for this and future events. Each sponsor will receive complimentary bulletin board ad space (with Landmark giver) for the duration of the fair.
