Midnight Mania is a system of boards offered by quality merchants offering free items they make. You come to their shop, click the board and if enough people click the board before midnight SL time everyone who clicked gets the free item. The Midnight Mania group is designed to call out boards all over the grid to give people the chance to lock the boards down to get the items thus increasing the quality items hunters get, and offering more exposure for shop owners. *What is a slap-a-thon?:
A slap-a-thon is a special event for Midnight Mania lovers offering a special festival where board owners/merchants can place out their boards in 1 location along with a few vendors and free gift items to show you their designs/wares. Board owners will be encouraged to change the MM boards out more frequently than the usual 24 hours/midnight deadline we normally wait for with MM boards. This means merchants should be available 2-3 times a day during this event to force their boards out if they fill before the usual deadline. We also may include other events such as freebies or other fun activities as this event unfolds. This is the first large scale event of its kind.
*When does the slap-a-thon begin?:
Set up for merchants will begin in 48 to 72 hours once the land is ready. Only merchants approved in our group will be able to set out items on the property. The slap-a-thon itself will begin on May 29th and last until June 7th! This gives lots of time for slappers to come spank these boards!
*Does it cost to participate in the slap-a-thon?:
Originally to cover the cost of land rental for this event we were going to charge a small fee, much cheaper than a stall rental would cost merchants. But after consideration we have decided to hold this event free. However all merchants will be restricted to 1 stall at 25 prims maximum for their board, landmarks, vendor etc.
*What are the requirements for reserving a slot for the slap-a-thon?
You must own any of the following: Midnight Mania board, Midnight Madness board, Daylight Madness board. Your board must contain a quality item that you yourself created or your business partner created. Slap-a-thon staff may request that you rezz your intended item to show the creators. Absolutely no freebies or resale items are allowed. Not sure if your MM gifts qualify? Contact Avalon Asturias before contracting to reserve a space. You must display at least 1 MM board or its equivalent at the slap-a-thon property to keep your stall. You are welcome to rezz a vendor or items for sale with in your purchase prim allotment along side your MM board. Also feel free to offer a landmark to your shop, notecard about your items up for sale, and a free gift beyond the MM board to visitors.
*Will adult content be allowed?:
No, all content must be PG. This means no overt sexual or adult content including no nudity. Please make sure your items meet this requirement! The slap-a-thon will be open to kid friendly vendors too. This is why we do not allow adult content. Nothing personal, in fact Avalon who started this event has an adult art shop. But in order to make this comfortable to all this rule has to be adopted.
*How do I participate as a merchant?
IM Avalon Asturias and ask for an application. Avalon will contact you to notify you whether you have been approved to join the event, and will provide you with a reservation sign to reserve your space. Applications will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.
*Are there any restrictions on types of vendors allowed/not allowed at the slap-a-thon?
Yes! No vendors that using listening channels! No rotating objects or signs! Set your vendors to not browsing so they are lowest lag as possible! Please shut off floating text so it doesn't bleed through the walls of your neighbors area!
