Olympic Games In Sl

As Carmilla Island we are again giving you the opportunuty to watch the Olympic Games in SL.

Count the days down, and come to the island for everything you may need Don't forget, we are underconstruction all time

Not willing to start a polemic but i want to point it's CHINA that host them. All the reasons for boycotting this event...

I dont' see the problem. You have give the games to the Nazi's in 1936 so why China hasn't the right to become the games in 2008?

China doesn't respect the human rights, ok, but the most part of the Occident ignore that if China doesn't fight against regional rebellions and revolutionars movements that he will lost his unity. China needs more time to become a democratic state and your are the only to blame if your governements gives the games too early to China. That's a fact, you have give the games to China, so play the game and finish with that polemic and not intelligent boycot.

Why care about China ,and don't make a grid-wide Olympic competition .
Where are the Animators ,the Cloth Designers and Builders too build an SL or Meta Olympics for all SL Races Furies Nekos Dragons ect.
For my test SL events are much too simple and restricted where is the Phantasy and creativity of the SL residents .Is a Birthday party all what can happen or a Dance Club ?

As long SL is country and (mostly) Politics free
There are many Sportive Competition related to Olympics like the nice Special Olympics why not Meta Olympics . I just create my first Olympic Animation and put it in Austria City Sim for testing. But there would need much more Sims and creative people

I just wounder how week this theme is in SL.
By the way my first SL Event in Austria was a Avatar Marathon and that was the most fun event i had done since over 2 years. As you mention not every avatar is same fast ,and if you you can profe even when you fly you must be not faster than running .
It was my frist project on the Austria Sim when i get it only a bumby street
Just too inspire something very simple can be a lot of fun .

Hope there would be more going on soon.

Personally, I am of the thinking, to not support an event, but to always support the "players".

i agree you all, but also asking to myself, aren't we going to watch it in the name of not supporting China?

Supporting China? No, definitely not - so whom do we support?

We support those people, who try to make sport activities their life.
People who go to their limits and beyond to reach out for being worlds best.
People who do the same as a CEO of a company - try to be on top.
People who often gives us impressive vies of what a human body is able to do.
People who try to make this very short time in their life to be a remarkable hour.

These are the ones we support - and it doesn't matter where it happens - the location is just the server which may be hosted anywhere.

And I'm glad we also have it here in SL - great Idea to support these people here too!

That's what we think also..we have to give the value to whom deserves. We plan this Olimpic Games streaming with the same thought of supporting people who puts their life on something special, like sport activities.
We support them, and also we are open to new ideas about this subject or anything.

As you already know, you will be able to watch the Olympic Games in the confort of your house, even more..While fishing, dancing at the club, chillin', swiming at the pool..you can also try watching it while surfing or diving.. it would be an adventure, lol.

After the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Olympic Games, at night, there will be a PARTY of The Queen. You can come anytime to watch the Olympic Games till it lasts.
