Now well into its 5th year, the Riverwalk Meet the Artist Series is celebrating with a very special event - not 1, but 2, artists are highlighted during the 2 hour meet and greet at the Riverwalk. Another 1st for this series is the presence of DJ Able Landfall, spinning a lively mix of Country & Western tunes for your listening, and dancing, enjoyment. To be held at the Riverwalk Community Center, across the river from the Riverwalk proper, 2009's very first MTA event promises to be one of our best yet - 2 very exciting artists will be present to show some of their newest works, answer any questions you might have, and perhaps help you pick out that perfect piece of artwork.
Artist Petr Vanbeek is a self taught photographer who enjoys looking at his surroundings and finding interesting ways to frame them. He first showed his RL images in SL but has begun to explore and photograph the vast landscape of this incredible virtual world as well.
Artist Redemption Summers takes pride in his unique 1-3 prim twisted prim sculptures, and creates a collection of RL prints, vases, and some furniture. His most recent interests include low prim lamp and lighting fixtures with details only a true artist can provide.
An "Open House" format, dress is casual or "to the nines" as you see fit. As always, light refreshments, as well as other artist showings and entertainment will be available. Fireworks at dusk.
This two-hour event has been segmented into two one-hour events so you may chose the time most convenient for you, or both, should you elect to use the "event notification" feature. Hope to see you there!
