Come one come all! SL tradition: SLHA Hockey League!!

So you like hockey? Did you know there's been a hockey league in SL for years?!? Yes it's true, there IS hockey in Second Life!

SLHA (SL Hockey Association) is getting ready for its SIXTH season of play to begin in September 2008. The league consists of 7 teams (5 are North American, 2 are European). THERE IS NO CHARGE TO PLAY AND ALL EQUIPMENT IS FREE! Come check out our awesome rink and try out the equipment. SLHA's home is the beautiful sim of Jericho Hill. The rink and sim will shortly be undergoing a remodeling but will remain open and hockey will keep going!

DAILY AT 5PM SL time, we offer an open scrimmage.Veterans are available to help you. You do not need to be a hockey or gaming pro, just of the mind to have fun. Guys, girls, furries, freaks, ALL are welcome!

This website is chock full of league history, game information, complete statistics, detailed schedules, photo albums, forums, and more! In order to compete on a team you do need to sign up for the free website so we can get your name on a team and stats kept.

We have both a competitive division, for those who can commit to regular game schedules, and a casual division, for less structured play. The competitive division consists of the Cobras, Ice Lords, Moose, Whales and Wolves in the North American division and the Ravens and Foxes in the European division.

We survived Havok with a bigger and better script, and recent additions and improvements mean an amazing season is in store for us for Season 6. Automated statistics; improvement to collisions and checking and boosting; awesome animations; and much much more.

Others may imitate, but the long-established SLHA remains the best! Come check out the rink and pick up your free equipment! If you have questions about the league or game play, you can send a message to me or just stop by the rink. There are almost always SLHA vets hanging around who can help you out.
