Learn to use SpellFire melee and bow weapons. Sparring facilities and basic instruction notecards in the use of SpellFire swords and bows available in Galea Town in Imrath Tir. Come to Imrath Tir, enter Galea Town and go to the practice area to the left of the keep. There you will find complete instructions on how to use spellfire weapons, a training dummy that will fight back against you and at times other people who you can practice with. Once you are familiar with the weapons try to find and slay one of the ghosts or other undead that haunt the dungeon and corridors of Galea Town. Once one is slain treasure may appear near where it was first encountered.

We have new and upgraded NPC monsters for you to challenge and new treasures to gather in Galea. The new monsters will attack anyone with their active group set to NONE. Anyone wanting to explore Galea and roleplay without fighting the monsters just needs to have their active group set to anything other than NONE.

When a monster is killed some type of treasure will appear near where the monster was first encountered. 80% of the time the treasure is in the form of a Milar coin or coins. Milars are roleplay money that goes with Perwin Ramblers roleplay economy system, so be sure you are wearing one of Perwins Leather pouches or backpacks when questing for treasures. (Free GA versions of his pouches are available at the shop on the corner of the merchant block in Galea.)

20% of the time the treasure will be something else: SpellFire scripted weapons , suits of chainmail, or ingredients for use making potions with one of Perwin's Potion Cauldrons.

There are about 30 different treasures other than Milars available with about 10 of the 30 available on any given day.

Questors should wear SpellFire meters and use SpellFire weapons when fighting the monsters. Search the walls, corridors and dungeons of Galea Town and have an adventure.

All treasures fade away after half a minute if not claimed.

Now for a few bits of advice for getting things to work well within the artificial and often quirky world of SL.

1. The monsters rez near a prim "monster rezzer". These are almost always white or light gray in color. They are usually a skull, a bone, a small tombstone like marker or in one case a large sarcophagus. The sarcophagus is a somewhat darker gray, but is unmistakable.

2. Treasures will rez directly at the monster rezzer when a monster is killed. As mentioned above the treasures will vanish after half a minute whether or not they are claimed, so be sure to get back to the rezzer to get your treasure. You simply need to click the treasure to recieve it. Some treasures (milar coins and Ingredients for potions) can only be claimed by one person. Others such as swords and armor can be taken by several people.

3. If a monster is killed too far from the rezzer NO TREASURE will appear. The dying monster has to communicate its death to the rezzer for the rezzer to give out a treasure. So, while a long fighting withdrawal from the monster may be a good tactic for killing the monster with little or no injury to yourself, it almost guarantees that there will be no treasure given. To be sure of a treasure try to kill the monster within 10 meters or so of the rezzer.

4. The monsters have 3 levels of difficulty or dangerousness. 1st level monsters give unscripted treasures such as crates with various pieces of chainmail approximatey one monster out of every 5 killed close enough to the rezzer. The other 4 out of 5 monsters will give milars. 2nd level monsters give scripted treasures such as swords, bows, magic wands, etc. approximately one monster out of every 5 killed close enough to the rezzer. The other 4 out of 5 monsters will give milars. 3rd level monsters give a Perwin Potion Ingredient approximately one monster out of every 5 killed close enough to the rezzer. The other 4 out of 5 monsters will give milars.

5. The 3rd level monsters are particularly difficult since not only are they tougher to kill and more dangerous, they also dont stay around very long. If you dont kill them quickly they return to what ever plane undead inhabit when not on our plane. If it leaves of its own accord it does not count as slain and no treasure will rez.

6. The monsters don't care who kills them, approximately every 5th monster gives a treasure other than milars. That means if someone has killed 4 of the monsters at a given rezzer and then had to leave and you come by and kill one more, you may get the special treasure for your first kill. Good luck for you in that case.

7. After going through a full 5 kill cycle a rezzer will become inactive for a few minutes, so once in awhile no monster will show up. Sort of an undead coffee break.

8. Much more often vagaries of SL will cause a monster rezzer to ignore someone. If you are trying to get a monster to come out and play with you and it seems to be asleep, try sitting on the rezzer. This will usually wake them up in a bad mood, so stand up quick and be ready to fight.

9. The sarcophagus rezzes a Lich. This is a much more dangerous monster. Not only is it more deadly and harder to kill, it also summons up zombies to aid it. Killing the zombies gains you nothing except your survival. Only killing the lich counts for getting its treasures.

Come have a fun Adventure!
