TONIGHT! 6:00 PM
Sutherland Dam

LL continues to talk about making "tools for governance" which mainly involve "tools for banning". Isn't there anything else? How can we ensure that SL remains open as a platform for experimentation for social models, but doesn't provide a platform to endorse and spread totalitarian models for virtual and real life?

A group is promoting an Islamic caliphate in RL and SL. Is this merely about cultural diversity and tolerance? Soon, LL will have to face the issue of being asked to "comply with law" to turn in Chinese dissidents. Will they? How can virtual life ensure human rights for all without diminishing them less than they are in real life?

I'm at home at the Sutherland Dam. Open discussion welcome, griefers summarily ejected.
