The first annual Kid's Grid Wide Hunt is accepting applications from designers, merchants, stores, businesses with appropriate content who wish to participate and gain exposure for their shop/business. IM Chevonne Cazalet with any questions or for note card that contains application.
Appropriate shops that can be included in this hunt, and don't have to be SL kid specifics are shops offering fashion for men or women, skins, shoes, accessories, houses, furniture, household items, artwork for the home (non sexual content), vehicles or gadgets, photography studios, modeling studios etc.
NOTE: Stores with sexual content or items for sale, places promoting hatred, bigotry, violence, age play etc are prohibited from joining in this project. Not sure if your shop or business would be appropriate? IM Chevonne Cazalet and ask.
What is the Kid's Grid Wide Hunt?
The Kid's Grid Wide Hunt will promote unity in the Second Life Kid's community by promoting the wonderful creativity and talents of our SL kids and participating family & Kid friendly vendors/merchants and businesses.
The Hunt will be held from Valentine's Day starting February 14th, 2009 until March 14, 2009

The theme for the Kid's Grid Wide Hunt is "My Favorite Things". Each participant vendor/designer is encouraged to create a special hand made and custom gift (object) representing something that is their favorite thing. Items can be clothing, jewelry, toys, or just about anything appropriate for family or SL kids. All items must be G rated and kid friendly to be included in the hunt. If you don't design items, and would prefer to give a gift out that offers a free service (adoption agency or school for example) or a gift card for items in your store, you may also do this instead of creating an item to give out as a gift.
The gifts will be loaded into SMALL Kid's Grid Wide Hunt objects which will be delivered to those participating on February 12, 2009. You will place them in your store or mall area, perhaps slightly hidden but manageable to be found in a reasonable amount of time. There will be No altering of the logo and no hidden rooms allowed.
Inside the Kid's Grid Wide Hunt object will be a link to the next store. When someone searching in the hunt finds your gift, they can then go onto the next vendor in line of the hunt by using the landmark that will be enclosed with your gift. This will offer wonderful exposure to all of the participating vendors with out inducing heavy lag known to occur with local sim treasure hunts, since the traffic will be spread over various sims all over the grid.
Who can participate?
Any person, business, vendor, or shop that wishes to offer a free item suitable for children and familiy members (mom's, dads, siblings, grand parents, aunts, uncles) that is G or PG Rated may participate. Items containing violence, sex, profanity or vendors/businesses offering such items are prohibited. Each Vendor will be personally screened by the founder of the Kid's Grid Wide hunt to insure they meet the necessary standards for the SL Kid's community and providing for the safety of SL children in the process.
