SLH (SL Hockey): INVITES NEW PLAYERS FOR SEASON 5!

Hi there! We invite you to come check out SLH, Second Life's premier and established hockey league. We are currently in the playoff series of Season 4. Soon enough, planning and drafts will start happening for Season 5. We welcome 'fresh blood' every season! So if you're looking for something different and exciting to do, visit the rink at Jericho Hill.

Let me tell you some things about us. SLH was started a couple years ago by myself and a few other good folks here in SL. We started with two teams (The Wolves and Whales). In Season 2, we had to expand to 4 teams, and the Cobras and Moose joined the league. Season 4 showed a need for even more teams, and we welcomed the Ice Lords and Rebels to our motley crew of hockey players.

The league is governed by its own players, with involved members taking part in committees and various management roles. Games are played 3-4 nights a week. It's a high paced and exciting game: You can check it out on SLCN, who covers the Thursday night games on audio and video.

You do not need any RL or previous SL hockey experience to play. The equipment and game play is fairly simple to learn; your challenge will be in developing your style, position expertise, and team work. You don't even need any money: The equipment and game play is free.

Especially if you are new to SL, joining the hockey league will give you an immediate social network of new people to hang with. We have many who just hang out at the rink between games and many associated 'non-hockey' events to enjoy.
