The Domination Station is looking for live performers for it's new Open Mic sessions, the first of which will be held on Saturday, 15 March starting at 5pm SLT.
We are looking for musicians, comedians, singers, poets in fact, anyone who would like to perform live to an audience. There will be a prize of at least 500L$ for the best act which will be voted for on the night by the audience. If we draw a large crowd and many acts this prize could go up.
Each act will be allotted a minimum of 15 minutes in which to perform. (this may be extended depending on how many acts wish to perform.) The time limit will be strictly adhered to keep the contest fair.
Each act will be individually introduced and may put out tip jars whilst they are performing (tip Jars can be provided if necessary.)
If you have a stream you wish to use we can accommodate you, if not then at the moment voice will have to be used. Should this event become popular a stream will be available for all to use.
If you are interested in performing at the event please contact me, Naiyah Dreamscape and I will send you a form to fill out and return. This form will contain a section for any requirements you have for your performance to enable us to set it up in advance. Once this form has been received you will be invited to join our performers group. The tag for this group must be worn during the event so that the audience can identify you.
I will be your liaison both before and during the event so if you have any questions just IM me and I will do my best to help.
This is an event for any and all who wish to perform to a live audience. All acts will be considered and you do not have to be a professional artist to take part. We want the evening to be fun for all and if we can help a few people kick off their SL performance careers then so much the better.
I plan to hold these events one a fortnight to begin with and all performers should submit their forms to me no later than 48 hours before the event. Any forms received after that will be held over for the next event.
If any performers are interested in performing at the club as a separate event that can also be arranged. To begin with all performers will be playing for tips however should the event become a regular and well attended event, payment will be considered.
